Queen's legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury, is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time. From his distinctive four-octave vocal range, his eccentric outfits and his outstanding stage presence, he was born-ready for the stage.

'Bohemian Rhapsody' chronicles Freddie Mercury's incredible life story and his journey to fame alongside bandmates Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. The film follows the lapse in Freddie's private life, how the fame and popularity got to his head and therefore caused him to lose the respect of his friends and family, and how he bounced back from it all. Mercury was doubted by everyone around him since the beginning of his career, but he was able to become a household name.

The film stars Rami Malek as Freddie, Gwilym Lee as Brian, Ben Hardy as Roger and Joseph Mazzello as John, as well as Mike Myers, Lucy Boynton, Aidan Gillen, Tom Hollander and Allen Leech as important characters from the band's past.

According to BBC, the production of the film was rough for the entire cast and crew. Sacha Baron Cohen was originally set to play Freddie, but after many mishaps and arguments, he left the project. Another setback happened with the film's original director, Bryan Singer. The film's producers, as well as Rami Malek, had become tired of Singer showing up on set late, or not even showing up at all. 20th Century Fox then fired Singer from 'Bohemian Rhapsody' due to his unpredictable behaviour and clashes with the cast and crew.

Despite all the issues while filming, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' pulled through and came out with a riveting cinematic experience that had myself, as well as other moviegoers, crying by the end. It was just as much a concert as it was a film.

Rami Malek was outstanding in his portrayal of Freddie Mercury. His movements and speech were almost identical to the real Mercury’s. Mercury's singing voice in the film was a mix of Malek, sound-alike Marc Martel, and Freddie himself. You couldn't tell the difference between the mixture and Mercury's real voice. Malek was definitely the right choice to bring Mercury back to life.

The spectators were brought behind the scenes and shown how some of the fan-favourites such as, “We Will Rock You”, “Love of My Life” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” were made.

The movie has been received negatively by the critics, but fans adore it. Don't let the critics persuade your decision to go see this movie, everyone I've talked to agreed they'd easily love to watch two more hours of footage. Do not miss the chance to see “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
